The
Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in Ontario maintains a web-based
public reporting site
for long term care homes. This is intended to ensure public accessibility
to information regarding
long term care in Ontario.
At
S&R Nursing Homes we are proud of our more than 30 year history
of quality senior care in Ontario. We applaud this effort by government to assist our industry
in providing information to the public.
Our
practice has always been to post all Ministry of Health Inspection results
and details in our homes on the Family and Resident Bulletin Boards as we have always believed
in transparent and
open communication with our families and with the public at large. In
addition we have a Residents' Council and a Family Council in every
home to ensure we communicate openly with our residents
and families on a daily basis.
In
addition to reading about our inspection process on the Ministry website
we invite you to visit our Homes, to talk to our team members and most
of all, to talk to residents who live in our homes,
regarding their experience at S&R Nursing Homes. Choosing a long
term care home for your family member is a big decision and the Ministry
of Health public reporting site is the beginning of your
research. When you visit our homes you have the opportunity to experience
life in long term care
and to ask questions of those you meet.
The
summary information provided on the Ministry web page does not provide
information regarding
the nature of the issue or of the resolution. In order to provide further
information in this regard, we
have included on the web page of each S&R Home a summary of the
details of any Unmet Standards
and Verified Concerns. It is our practice to immediately take action
to ensure the concern is addressed and resolved. As a result, the Ministry
of Health website represents issues that were identified in the
past and where corrective actions have already been taken. To visit

Reporting response section of our website for each Home please select:
We at S&R are pleased that the Public Reporting website initiative
supports our Quality Care
Program and the philosophy of continuous improvement in our care and
services. We believe it is important to constantly measure what we do
and to look for “best practices” in providing care to our Residents.
We
welcome all questions from our families, residents, employees and from
the community and we
look forward to working with the Ministry on new initiatives in long
term care as we move into the future.
