Our long term care communities participate in the accreditation process conducted by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. The accreditation survey and site visits offer us the opportunity to have our performance measured by external, objective inspectors.

As a quality organization, S&R Nursing Homes believe the accreditation process demonstrates to the community that our homes achieve high standards of care. Accreditation is an in-depth comparison of our Homes services and operations against a set of national standards. Key areas that are examined include resident care, delivery of service, information management, human resource policies and our management of the environment.

We believe in the philosophy of continuous improvement and this philosophy is supported by both the accreditation process and the Quality Council that is in place in each home. Our Quality Council is where residents, families and team members sit together to ensure that excellence in care is maintained.
